Rewind

Walnut Ribbon
This sculpture is an abstract, ribbon-like form carved from a single piece of Black Walnut with warm brown tones and visible grain. It undulates horizontally in a smooth, continuous wave, rising and dipping in a rhythmic sequence of hollowed curves. Each vertical rise opens like a shallow vessel or shell, revealing the layered growth rings of the wood, which emphasize the sculpture’s organic origin.
The edges are sharply defined and darkened, creating a strong outline that contrasts with the lighter interior surfaces.
