Unwind is a sandblasted oak wall sculpture that explores movement, rhythm, and the natural beauty of wood. Three interconnected, flowing forms rise and fall across the wall, evoking unfurling shells, flowing fabric, or waves shaped by water and time. The sweeping contours transform solid oak into an organic, almost fluid composition.
Sandblasting reveals the oak’s rich grain, creating a striking contrast between the golden highlights and darkened recesses and edges. The grain follows the sculpted curves, emphasizing depth, texture, and movement. Each form has its own character, yet all three flow together in a continuous rhythm, inviting the viewer to experience the interplay of natural material, light, and shadow.
