On Course
‘On Course’, This form is 29″ Tall x 14″ x 8″. I started with a 90 Lb Ambrosia red maple half log and carved it down to 7 Lbs . Light Lacquer finish.
Elegance
‘Elegance’, this is one of my most challenging forms to date. I am really excited to have completed it and love the lighter finish on the sapwood which creates a deeper contrast. The form is 30″ Tall x 15″ x 8″. I started with a 100 Lb Ambrosia maple half log and carved it down to 5 Lbs . 13 lbs with the base.

Wall sculpture, Red Oak sculpted down from a 80 Lb slab to 7 Lbs, sand-textured and dyed black with an oil finish. 31″Tall x 14″ Wide x 7″ Deep
Ribbon of Oak
This sculpture was carved from some beautiful marbled pin oak. The form was sculpted, deeply sandblasted and coated with linseed oil base finish to enhance the vibrant grain coloring. Dimensions: 36”H x 7.5” W x 7.5”d. The close-up images of the sandblasted textured surface reveal beautiful medullary rays that flow with the form.

Wall sculpture carved from a beautiful piece of black walnut with extra sapwood. Textured and sandblasted surface, finished with Danish Oil. Dims: 13″ H x 30” W x 2″D
Textured Shell
Wall sculpture turned & carved from a piece of red oak. The shape was inspired by ocean shell forms. Textured & sandblasted with a white-wash and lacquered finish, Dims: 14.5″ Dia. x 2″D.
Starburst
Cut from the base of a large red oak tree. Bleached, wire brushed and textured surface, dyed dark blue. A 20 Lb form carved down from a 160 Lb log.
